M-Mineralien is Rudi Wald and his son Salim: your mineral dealers based in Midelt, Morocco – right in the heart of the country's most important mineral regions. What drives us is not merchandise, but a passion: to find the treasures of the earth, understand them, and pass them on to good hands.

As mineral dealers, we offer free, personal consultations in German, English, French, and Arabic. One of us will personally answer every inquiry.

Rudi Wald – the explorer

Rudi Wald is a mineral dealer by vocation: For decades, he has collected, examined, and traded minerals and fossils. His name is immortalized in paleontology: One of the oldest known pangolins bears his name, Eomanis waldi – he discovered the fossil.

To this day, Rudi personally examines every important mineral specimen – from the initial cut in the workshop to the honest description of its condition. His experience is the foundation of our business.

Salim Wald – the next generation

Salim Wald continues his father's work – and expands upon it: He goes into the mines himself, negotiates directly with the excavation teams, organizes preparation, storage and the worldwide shipping of each individual shipment.

With him, collectors and dealers have a mineral dealer as a contact person who speaks both worlds: that of the Moroccan deposits and that of the international clientele.

Eomanis waldi – an honor that obligates

The Middle Eocene fossil from the Messel Pit near Darmstadt is one of the earliest known pangolins. The species * Eomanis waldi* was scientifically described in 1978 and named after its discoverer, Rudolf Wald. For us, this story exemplifies meticulous documentation and collaboration with the scientific community.

That's why the Eomanis accompanies us as an emblem on every page: as a reminder that behind every piece lies natural history – and that honesty towards the material and our customers is non-negotiable.

This is how we work

Selection on site

We live in Midelt and know the mines, excavation teams, and preparators personally. We have personally handled every piece we offer – no catalog purchases, no anonymous middlemen.

Honest documentation

Real photos instead of filters, measurements instead of superlatives, and open communication about repairs and weaknesses. For gold-on-quartz pieces, we always photograph them with a scale ruler. If we're not convinced, we don't sell it.

Fair to both people and the site

We pay fair prices to the families who recover the artifacts and respect the sites where they were found. Scientifically significant finds belong in research and museums – we stand by that promise.

Midelt – our home between the Atlas Mountains and the desert

Midelt lies at an altitude of over 1,500 meters between the Middle and High Atlas Mountains and has been a center of the Moroccan mineral trade for generations. The vanadinite deposits of Mibladen are practically on our doorstep; we can reach the fossil beds of Erfoud in just a few hours.
