Eomanis waldi – a name that carries history
Eomanis is considered one of the oldest known true pangolins in Earth's history – a fossil from the Middle Eocene found in the Messel Pit near Darmstadt. The type species is named Eomanis waldi, after Rudi Wald, who discovered the specimen. An honor bestowed upon only a select few collectors in paleontology.
This discovery embodies what M-Mineralien stands for to this day: decades of fieldwork, scientific rigor, and a genuine passion for the Earth's treasures. That's why the Eomanis accompanies us as our emblem – on every page of this website.

Rudi & Salim Wald – two generations, one promise
Rudi Wald has been collecting, examining, and trading minerals and fossils from Morocco for decades. His son Salim continues this work – from the selection underground to the secure packaging of each shipment. We live in Midelt, in the heart of the country's most important fossil-bearing regions.
With us, you're not buying from an anonymous warehouse, but from the people who have personally handled each piece. We honestly describe the origin, condition, and preparation – including any flaws.

Origin with history
Minerals from Morocco – a paradise for collectors
Few countries boast such a wealth of significant mineral sites in such a small area as Morocco. Mining here has a centuries-old tradition – and mineral specimens from regions like Mibladen near Midelt, Touissit, Bou Azzer, and Imiter are now found in major collections and museums worldwide. Vanadinite from our region is particularly famous : bright red, hexagonal crystals on a light matrix, for which the area is especially renowned among collectors.
In addition, there is the country's second treasure trove: the fossil layers on the edge of the Sahara. Around Erfoud , deposits from a primeval sea are exposed – containing crinoids and sea lilies with preserved stems, calyxes, and arms, as well as ammonites, trilobites, and orthoceras. For collectors, this diversity offers opportunities – but also differences in quality. Often, only a few centimeters of display case separate a world-class mineral specimen from mass-produced goods. That's precisely why M-Mineralien isn't located in a warehouse in Europe, but in Midelt itself: Rudi and Salim Wald select each piece at the source, know the mines and preparators personally, and honestly document its origin and condition.
